What is Gold Filled?
Gold filled uses a karat gold overlay which is then bonded to a brass inner core. Gold filled is manufactured with 1/20th 14 karat gold, meaning it is 5% 14 karat gold by weight with a brass core (90% Copper / 10% Zinc)
Advantage of Gold Filled are 5% Gold value, Low Cost, Do not Tarnish as much, Do not wear off in contrary to Gold plated, just look like 14K Gold, to count a few.
Gold filled metals can be soldered with a torch and gold solder to other metals. Be aware that there is a risk of the gold layer being melted enough to show the base metal (Brass) underneath, so use caution when applying torch heat and use lot of flux.
Silver Tarnish and Cleaning:
Most of the factory manufactured Sterling Silver items come with an anti-tarnish coating. Over the time, the anti-tarnish coating will wear away and oxidation will occur. The tarnish is most likely due to contact with Sulphur compounds or other chemicals that attack copper (Sterling Silver has 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper). Amount of wear, humidity and skin chemistry (perspiration) will determine how quickly this will occur.
Most commonly, use mild soap and water to clean jewelry with a soft brush or a cloth. Be gentle and careful, not to damage your finished jewelry. Mass produced and readily available silver or jewelry cleaner may be used. Please follow the directions by the manufacturer and make sure it is safe for the stones and pearl if present in your jewelry.

To return an item that you purchased from us, simply email us (info@silver-dash.com or info@findingsworld.com) to request RA* (Return Authorization) number. Once you receive the RA number from us, return the merchandise in its original condition with a copy of the invoice within 15 days of purchase.
All items must be shipped in a padded envelope or a box to avoid any damage. We will not be responsible for any merchandise damaged or lost during return transit.
After arrival of returned merchandise, we will exchange it, credit your account, or refund your money.
